What you will study

Our TEFL Course provides learners with more than just the basic knowledge required to successfully teach English as a Foreign Language.

Our programme combines instruction with hands-on experience to empower course participants with the tools and abilities that will allow them to thrive in today’s EFL classroom.

Throughout the course learners become more target oriented, more academically focused and more specific with regard to their needs.

Our highly qualified tutors provide course participants with an individual, personalised experience that allows them to evolve into the role of the teacher by focusing on their own strengths.

How you will learn

The course is designed to benefit teachers internationally and offers an overview of methodologies used in EFL teaching and gives participants the opportunity to develop their own teaching style in a supportive and learner-friendly environment.

The TEFL Cert Course includes guided observation, guided/independent research hours as well assignments.

Components of the candidate’s assessment consists of:

Component One:

Teaching Practice One:  30 minutes as part of the peer observation session

Teaching Practice Two:  30 minutes with bone fide learners and/or peers.

Component Two:

Assignment 1: Language Systems-related tasks

Assignment 2: Language Skills – related tasks

Assignment 3: Professional Development

The TEFL requires ‘A’ Level or equivalent English qualification or TELT qualification.  If course participants need to take the TELT exam, this can be done after completing the above TEFL Cert course. SEPTT (a short speaking assessment) should also be taken after completing the TEFL Cert course.
