What you will study

Our English for Aviation course is specifically designed for those learners who would like to practise the specific English skills required to meet industry standards.

The English for Aviation course gives the learner a solid foundation of  English language skills such as speaking, listening, reading and writing with particular attention to pilot-ATC interactions in both routine and non-routine situations, as well as developing grammar and vocabulary such as, among other things, standard radiotelephony phraseology, plain English and pronunciation.

The course provides anyone involved in Aviation the essential structures and broadens vocabulary which is used in everyday work situations, leading to grammatical accuracy according to the learner’s level of English whilst improving pronunciation and making the learner feel comfortable when speaking in English.

How you will learn

Throughout our English for Aviation,  course participants will be learning how to communicate in plain English in the Aviation context with accuracy and clarity; use appropriate communicative strategies to exchange messages, recognize and resolve misunderstandings in a general or work-related context; successfully handle linguistic challenges presented by a complication or unexpected turn of events that occurs within the context of a routine work situation and communicate tasks, which they are otherwise familiar with, using a dialect or accent which is intelligible to the aeronautical community.

By using a communicative approach in aviation-related context, our tutors will focus on six vital areas such as pronunciation, fluency, structure, comprehension, vocabulary, interactions and use a blend  of standard radiotelephony phraseology and ‘plain’ English to make sure that personnel have the confidence and the ability to move beyond phraseology in times of need and ensure safety in the air.

Our English for Aviation course is interactive, dynamic and has clear objectives that contribute to the learner’s progress and help to achieve individual learning goals in the Aviation area.
