English Domain is part of Domain Group and is a prestigious licensed school in Malta.  English Domain caters for courses in General English, Preparation for English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS and PTE, Business English, English in a Professional Context relating to various industries such as Tourism and Hospitality, Technical English and English for the Medical Profession as well as Aviation English, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and Erasmus+ programmes. We also provide classroom based TEFL (Teacher Training) courses as well as SEPTT and TELT preparation tuition.  Tailor-made junior and teenage programmes are available throughout the year as well as various afternoon and evening courses catering for closed groups or expats living and working in Malta.  The MFHEA accredited Level 2 and Level 4 Award qualification in English Proficiency as a Foreign Language can also be obtained while students attend English Domain’s General English programme.

Internships options

There exist a variety of packages that English Domain can provide. These include learning English based on different vocational specialisations such as engineering, pilots, manufacturing, IT, services industry, tourism, hospitality,  aviation, etc. This is normally accompanied by visits in the relevant industry so that trainees can practice their English on the field. However, English Domain also specialises in a variety of work placements for various sectors such as engineering, hairdressing and beauticians, chefs in hotels and hospitality, health sector, manufacturing concerns, aviation and IT sector.

There have been a variety of Erasmus+ activities from international colleges including from France, Poland, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Turkey and Norway. Trainees in different sectors had been on work placement or internships for these last four years. A group of teachers from various countries have been on an Erasmus+ week visits to Malta through English Domain. The last two years have been particularly very active in receiving a variety of students from different countries from all over Europe. This complemented the intercultural dimension of English Domain which forms part of its philosophy.

Industry sectors

The industrial sectors that English Domain has developed links with, cover a wide range of opportunities. These include hotel’s maintenance departments, hospitality, chefs, hotel’s spas, industries specialising in engineering areas, maintenance departments in the IT sector, hairdressers and beauty salons, men barbers, HR management departments, Government health care community clinics, main hospital, electricians, cargo handling with different airlines, etc.

Airport meet-and-greet is also provided together with other logistic support services such as transportation, excursions, cultural visits, etc.  English Domain’s Welfare Office is responsible for all accommodation, logistics and non-academic support services.
